04: Q1 reflections + Q2 intentions

Hellooo April <3

2026 has been really kind to me so far. I’m not trying to suggest anything to the universe, but I’ve always loved even years. Odd years tend to be… odd.

I’m turning 25 next month (eeek), and I want to document as much of this year as possible, not just for the $100k journey, but because I know future me will want to look back on all of this. The little moments, the big shifts, the things I didn’t realise were important until later.

Here’s to a year that already feels good, and to paying attention while I’m in it.

I give Q1 a solid 8/10

A lot of people roll their eyes at New Year’s resolutions or the idea of “fresh starts,” but I’ve always taken December 31st seriously. Not because the date magically changes your life, but because it gives you a moment to choose your energy for the year ahead.

I don’t mean it in a woo-woo way, I just genuinely believe that the way you see the world shapes how you move through it. And even though 2025 was… questionable, I didn’t want to drag that energy into a new year. Some things needed to stay in that year.

Here are some highlights (with some personal wins added in the mix)

  • 🎙️ Posted more talking reels even though I struggled at first. I literally couldn’t sleep after the first one because I felt so seen. Now it’s just “posted, cool, good job.”
  • 🎸 Went to a concert solo and had the best time ever.
  • ⭐️ Attended my first in-person brand event and brought one of my closest friends. Manifesting more of these because I love meeting new people.
  • 📹 Did my first interview with a national media outlet (!!).
  • 💍 Got asked to be a bridesmaid for one of my closest friends.
  • 🥘 Had dinner with other creators, honestly the best thing since we’re all so chronically online hahaha !!
  • 🏓 Played pickleball with strangers and had so much fun.

I'm sure more happened...

but that’s kind of the point. My life doesn’t follow a predictable routine anymore. Back in corporate, my days were so structured that hitting goals felt easy because nothing interrupted the schedule.

Now? I don’t always know what’s going on, and I love that. Within parameters, of course. But the unpredictability feels like proof that I’m actually living.

My intentions for Q2:

I definitely want to prioritise my health over the next three months. Having an unpredictable routine meant I poured so much of myself into creative work and let my health work around the chaos.

So this quarter, I’m setting actual non‑negotiables. Not just “go to the gym,” but simple anchors: starting the day with a walk around the block, keeping a 2L bottle with me, and making sure I’m eating, moving, and sleeping like a functioning human being.

Content creation can get in my head sometimes, and I’ve always told myself that when I’m feeling off mentally, the best thing I can do is go all‑in on my physical wellbeing. Bare minimums. Basics. Foundations.

I’m also excited to share that my expected April cash flow, assuming everyone pays on time, will exceed my old corporate salary. I’m expecting just under $6,000 this month, which feels surreal.

I made a visual board of my Q2 goals, and one of them is hitting my first $10k month. But honestly, it’s not about the number. I turned down over $2,000 in March because the deals weren’t aligned or were completely irrelevant.

Money can be tempting, but it’s never worth more than the audience I've built over the past 5 years!

That's all for today. Thanks for sticking around and see you next week!

💌 With love,
